Merlin Woods Tennis club was founded in 2012 by a small group of friends. We use the public tennis courts in Doughiska and Roscam.
Over the years improvements have been made to the facilities including resurfacing to all-weather courts in Doughiska, and lights in both Doughiska and Roscam. We now have plans in place for Roscam courts to be upgraded.
We play challenge matches with other local clubs annually, and also have many inner club competitions.
Currently we have 2 tennis coaches, 20+ seniors, and 50+ junior members. Our members play at many levels and compete at national competitions.
Each year Merlin Woods Tennis Club runs The Galway League. Where players from clubs all over Galway compete in singles and doubles at different levels. Winners and runners up receive great prizes and their names permanently printed on the trophy!
